Starting a workshop

Ready to run your session and participants ready to go? Here's what to do next.

If you need help setting up your session first, see our previous articles on creating custom and template sessions.

Getting started

Once your session is configured and ready to begin, you can either click on the 'Start' link for a session on the home page, or click the 'Start workshop' button in the session setup page.

This will start your session and prevent any further changes to its configuration.

You will need to share your facilitator's screen for all participants to view - either over a screen sharing platform like Zoom, Skype or Webex or projected onto a wall or TV.

On the first first page, you can welcome your participants and explain to them how they join and, if necessary, re-join. They can either join by visiting and entering the dedicated workshop code or by scanning the QR code, and can join from any device (mobile, tablet, desktop).

There is also a prompt to mention that all inputs are anonymous to encourage challenge and innovation.

You can see who has joined in the left hand pane.
